Moving somewhere for a few months is different from signing a yearlong lease. These guides cover what to look for, what to ask, and how to plan a stay.

Before you inquire

  • Know your dates. Owners reply faster when you give a move-in date, a move-out date, and how flexible you are.

  • Add up the full cost. Each listing separates rent from utilities, deposits and other fees. Add them together before you compare places.

  • Say who's coming. Tell the owner how many people and pets will be staying.

  • Check the minimum stay. It's listed on every property page.

Staying safe

  • Talk with owners through Furnished Keys until you've seen the place, in person or on a video tour.

  • Never wire money or pay with gift cards.

  • If a deal seems too good to be true or someone pressures you to pay right away, email hello@furnishedkeys.com.
