How to Find a Furnished Monthly Rental in Bend, Oregon
2 min readFurnished Keys Team

Bend doesn't have many places in between a vacation rental and a yearlong lease. If you need a furnished place for one to six months, maybe for a work contract, a move, or a gap between homes, here's how to find one without overpaying or settling.
Start earlier than you think
Furnished monthly places are scarcer than unfurnished ones, and the good ones go to whoever asks first. Start looking four to eight weeks before your move-in date if you can. When you inquire, give exact dates and say how flexible you are, since owners fill their calendars around that.
Know what kind of place you need
An ADU or guest suite is often the best value. It's a private, self-contained unit, usually behind or above the owner's home.
A room in a shared home costs the least and works well for a solo stay.
An apartment or condo puts you close to downtown or the Old Mill.
A whole house makes sense for families or longer stays.
Budget for the full monthly cost
Rent is only part of it. Before you compare listings, add up:
monthly rent,
utilities, if they aren't included (power, gas, water, internet),
the refundable deposit,
one-time fees, such as cleaning or pet fees.
Every listing on Furnished Keys shows these separately, so you can compare places on the same terms.
Think about where you'll spend your days
Bend is spread out. If you'll commute to St. Charles, a job site, or a remote office, check the drive at the hour you'll actually make it. Ask about parking, especially for a truck or trailer, and about snow access in winter.
Ask the right questions
Before you commit, confirm what's included, how mail and packages work, whether there's laundry, and what happens if your dates change. We've put together a full list of questions to ask.
Protect yourself
See the place in person or on a live video tour before you pay. Never wire money or pay with gift cards, and keep your conversation with the owner in writing.
