Whether you have an ADU behind your house or a furnished home across town, these guides help you get it rented by the month.

Listing basics

  • Photos sell the place. Upload at least five bright, uncluttered photos, and pick a strong one for the cover.

  • Spell out every cost. List rent, utilities, the deposit and any cleaning or pet fees separately. Renters trust listings that show everything up front.

  • Keep availability current. Confirm your dates on a regular schedule. Every listing shows when its availability was last confirmed.

  • Write house rules early. Cover pets, smoking, parking and quiet hours so the right renters find you.

Before you list

Rules for monthly rentals vary by city and county. Check with your local planning office, your HOA if you have one, and your insurance provider before you list.
